St Ives Rugby club social committee has had a number of great events this season. You may have already missed (or in the case of the poker night won by Mike Gorrie) - forgotten through lack of memory. Photos of the preseason paintball can also be found on this website.
We are currently organising accommodation in the Lower Blue Mountains for 16th May after our match against Mountains. Worst case scenario is that we pitch tents in Dave Bellantonio's back yard!! This should be a great night - I'm sure Panthers world of Entertainment will never be the same again. Keep tuned for further information.
On the 23rd of May against Briars is our Back to Saints/Sponsors day at Hassall Park. Make sure you make all ex-players of the Saints aware as this is usually a massive day for the club both on and off the field. We are attemp[ting to also play Colts in the evening.
On June 20th against Lindfield, we have our Ladies day so make sure you invite the fillies along dressed in their finest. We have giveaways for the ladies and are trying to organise a champagne sponsor. Due to an overwhelming number of requests - Shayno and Macca have been requested to keep their gear on this year.
Independence evening 4th July we are hoping to get another Poker night after Newport which will kick off straight after presentations. 2 weeks later on the 18th July after Oatley, live on the big screen at Saints Central will be the Bledisloe Clash at 5.30pm.
Negotiations are also underway for a 1st grade match under lights against Barker which will be our last home match for the year. We are also hopeful of getting the local community radio station to broadcast this again and with a story in the North Shore Times - there should be a huge crowd in attendance as we lead into the semi finals.
Our last match of the year is against Waverley and afterward we will be organising a night in town. Stay tuned for further details.
